The Mahdiyya Qur’an

The Mahdiyya Qur’an

The University of Leeds has digitized a 19th-century Sudanese copy of the Qur’an. Each of the 346 pages was scanned three times at 246DPI, and the scans are available as 18M TIFF images. I can’t read Arabic, but I think some of the calligraphy is beautiful. Or should I say illuminating. Heh heh heh. http://www.comp.leeds.ac.uk/mahdiyya-quran/
